Asyst Announces Availability of Webcast for Presentation at
Adams, Harkness & Hill Investor Conference


FREMONT, Calif.—July 29, 2003 — Asyst Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ASYT), a leading provider of integrated automation solutions that maximize semiconductor manufacturing productivity, today announced the availability of a webcast of the company’s presentation at Adams, Harkness & Hill’s 23rd Annual Summer Seminar, to be held at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf in Boston, MA on August 6, 2003 at 8:00 a.m. EDT.

The webcast will be available to all interested parties through Asyst’s website, http://www.asyst.com. To access the simultaneous webcast, select the Investor Relations section from Asyst’s home page. On the Investor Relations page, select the Webcast button and log onto the “Click here for webcast” area under the ‘Adams, Harkness & Hill’s 23rd Annual Summer Seminar’ title.
