Asyst-Shinko
Asyst has become the new leader in Automated Material Handling Systems
(AMHS), as a result of its joint venture with the AMHS Division of
Japan's Shinko Electric Company. The Asyst-Shinko joint venture gives
the semiconductor industry the most comprehensive AMHS offering--one
that integrates Asyst's next-generation Continuous Flow Transport
(CFT) FasTrack System, with the best-of-breed car-based technology
from Shinko.
- Asyst-Shinko has won more than half of the current worldwide
300mm AMHS installations, including the two largest installations
to date--the first production 300mm fab for a large US-based chip
manufacturer and the first production 300mm fab for TSMC in Taiwan.
- Asyst-Shinko's 300mm installed base includes more than 21.8
kilometers of track, 970 various transport vehicles, and nearly
200 stockers.
Maximum Productivity & Profitability
Fabs worldwide give Asyst-Shinko high marks on technology and quality,
as well as for modeling, simulation, installation, integration,
and support. Asyst-Shinko's AMHS products and operations, including
interbay and intrabay overhead transport systems, stockers, automated-and
rail-guided vehicles, reticle stockers and transport systems and
Material Control System (MCS software), are all available as part
of Asyst-Shinko's product offering.
- Asyst-Shinko AMHS solutions shorten transport time and
increase yields:
| - |
Direct interbay/intrabay transport reduces
cycle time. |
| - |
Small footprint simplifies equipment installation. |
| - |
Safe for the fab environment with anti-collision, fall
prevention, and operator protection features. |
| - |
SEMI standards compliance. |
- Asyst-Shinko AMHS architecture ensures reliable, fast
transport:
| - |
Innovative Overhead Hoist Transport (OHT)
and Merge/Diverge Overhead Shuttle (OHS) technologies provide
high reliability. |
| - |
Merge/Diverge OHT system diminishes the need for stockers
and eliminates shifters and turntables. |
| - |
Shortcuts and station bypasses minimize turnaround time,
maximizing production. |
| - |
Customer flexibility is enhanced with hot lots, just-in-time,
and auto-routing applications. |
- Asyst-Shinko Material Control System (MCS) optimizes
AMHS performance, functionality, and diagnostics:
| - |
Provides a complete solution with integrated
MCS and AMHS. |
| - |
Flexibility delivers custom, fab-specific requirements. |
| - |
Extensive experience in Computer Integration Manufacturing
(CIM) and system interface optimizes AMHS. |
| - |
Provides low risk, low cost, proven solutions. |
